I love that I searched for Savage U images and found Colourmovie's original cut of the intro sequence! Yay for plushies! (I'm the beaver... shh!)
AND... they have outtakes! Oh god...

Back in November, I was part of a shoot for the intro/title sequence of MTV's Savage U. I've been checking every few weeks or so to see if the show has started airing and it finally has! I was surprised to see how much I'm used, including the promo photo on the website. Check out one of the episodes!

I just nominated Hari Kondabolu for Angry Asian Man's 30 UNDER 30! Basically, community folks can submit their nominations for whom they think are the most influential Asian Americans under 30 years old. Here is what I wrote about Hari:

Hari Kondabolu, 29, Stand Up Comedian

Hari is not like most comedians. He dares to confront white privilege, U.S. imperialistic practices, and colonialism through the medium of stand up comedy and is damn good at it. So good in fact that Comedy Central gave him his own half-hour special. Anyone who is compared to the likes of confrontational comics Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor and is also called “a wise, witty, golden-hearted crusader for both funny jokes and social justice” deserves to be recognized. I want to have his babies, and so should you.
And if you're not familiar with Hari Kondabolu, take a look at some of his stand up:

Last week, I was on set almost everyday, so this week I've been getting caught up on my writing for National Poetry Writing Month (Did you know there is a National Poetry Writing Month? Well, now you know!). You may have seen it on Twitter or Facebook at #NaPoWriMo (such clever people writers are eh?).

Basically, you commit to writing at least one poem a day, any format, any topic, just as long as you write. I got behind on my posts so I've been playing catch up (not the way to do things, but I've never been one to follow the rules). If you feel like reading some poetry, here are my first ten posts:

1/30: Raccoon Trap
2/30: Change isn't an empty word.
3/30: Skittles Vs. Gun
4/30: You Aren't The One Who Will Make Me A Woman
5/30: The Old Motley
6/30: You
7/30: Deal Breaker
8/30: On April 26th
9/30: Glory Box
10/30: Life

If you want to participate, it's not too late! Just get to writing everyday! And if you want to, write a few extra poems a day so you can have 30 total come April 30th!
